Isolated Illusion (粉紅噪音偽裝術 / Pink Noise Camouflage). Constructed pink noise from overlapping human voices and computer-generated noise to induce the hallucination of speech in the solitary listener. Exhibited at 2005 b!as, Taipei Fine Arts Museum.
Pink noise is assembled to both mask and simulate human speech. After prolonged exposure the ear begins to hallucinate voices within the noise. The work examines how urban sonic environments and synthetic signals create feedback between external masking and internal auditory hallucination, isolating the subject within the crowd.

Pink noise 是一種泛人聲噪音，能夠有效屏蔽人講話的聲音
如果採用大量的環境音跟人聲混合之後，也會得到類似Pink noise的聲響
當聆聽Pink noise一段時間到疲乏後，也會很容易聽到彷彿是人講話的幻聽
日復一日穿過擁擠的捷運，被龐大的人聲的覆蓋著時，我也彷彿聽到有人冷不防地在我耳邊喃喃自語，穿過城市製造的Pink noise，傳遞到被孤立的自己腦中。
這個作品交織著人聲重疊製成的Pink noise以及電腦運算產生的Pink noise，重新整理這個作品時，腦中出現了其他創作的想法，也許每個城市的孤立狀態都不一樣吧。
